IRPC and Innobic (Asia) announced a joint venture to set up a company “Innopolymed” penetrates the medical device market

On April 28, 2021, Dr. Amporn Chareonsomsak. President, Innobic (Asia) Co., Ltd. (100% owned subsidiary of PTT) and Mr. Somkiat Lertritphuwadol Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Planning and Business Development IRPC Public Company Limited signed a joint venture agreement to establish Innopolymed Company Limited. Accelerate the construction of a non-woven fabric factory (non-woven fabric) such as melt blown fabric within the third quarter of the year 2021 at IRPC Industrial Zone, Rayong Province. It is expected to begin commercial production and distribution. in the fourth quarter of 2021, which promotes the Thailand 4.0 policy, pushing Thailand towards becoming a comprehensive medical center aiming to improve the quality of life of Thai people and support stable economic growth.
In this regard, non-woven fabrics formed by melt blown method are the main raw materials for the production of mask filters, N95 masks, gowns and air filters. The fibers are small and fine at the micrometer level. It has a highly effective filtering feature. Made from special polypropylene resin (PP melt blown grade) that IRPC Co., Ltd. researched and developed, is the first manufacturer in Thailand.
